About The Event
Barb Salas practices rotational grazing with her grass-fed sheep flock. She’s a wealth of knowledge from lambing to grazing and everything in-between. Barb received guidance from other shepherds when starting and is happy to share her knowledge! Winter Pasture Walk: We’ll view sheep fencing, winter pastures, feeding systems, and winter watering facilities. Barb will also explain her temporary fences used for rotational moves during the grazing season as well as her lambing, working, and weaning facilities.
Discussion: We’ll meet at the Burnett Town Hall to warm up and talk about the up coming lambing season. Barb will explain: what you need for lambing; lambing sys tems; lamb health; ewe health; deworming schedules and how she prepares for the grazing season.
Bring your questions from lambing to pastures!
